The Sellers International Youth Band is delighted to announce that 11 year old Jamie Smith, who plays repiano cornet, has been offered a place in the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain. Jamie gained this prestigious invitation following an audition in November and is naturally delighted with the news. Jamie is now eagerly awaiting his first course with the NCBB, which will be in the summer of 2006. Despite his tender years, he has been a Sellers Youth member for many years, alongside his older brother Jonathon. Jamie is a pupil of the Darren Stott, for many years the distinguished principal/assistant principal cornet player of the Sellers International Band.

Jamie is the fourth Sellers Youth player to gain a place in the National Youth Organisations, joining Jess Martin (Solo Horn) and George Pidgeon (Bass Trombone), who have been members of the NCBBGB and Joe Murray (Principal Cornet) who is member of the National Youth Brass Band.
