For the first time in their seven year history Sellers International Youth Band will proudly appear alongside the Sellers International Band’s Musical Director, Cornet Legend, Phillip McCann. Both will feature in a concert at St. Paul’s Hall, Huddersfield on Saturday 23rd April (7pm), where they are guests of the New Mill Male Voice Choir.

Phillip will perform a number of solos with the Youth Band, who will also be performing a selection of their own recent repertoire, in a programme to celebrate St. George’s Day.

The band are fresh from their performance at the National Youth Championships, where they were delighted to receive a Silver Award in their first year in the hotly contested Community section, and 1st place in the Youth Section at last Sunday’s Bray and Pogson Contest, where they performed Edward Gregson’s Patterns.

The St George’s Day Concert is just part of a very busy weekend for the Sellers organisation as the Sellers International Band will be completing their latest CD recording, a programme of some of Phillip Sparke’s most recent repertoire due to be released on the De Haske Label.
