With thanks to 4barsrest.com for the results.

Just like to say congratulations to all at Newtongrange. You did what I have been asking for a while and let your playing do the talking. Didn't catch your performance as I had another engagement at Celtic Park but from what I hear you were easy winners today, unlike the Celtic. Go down to Harrogate and bring home the bacon.

Also congrats to Newmilns and Galston. I have been following your progress since I heard you at the borders in 2002 and the Fife in 2003 and I'm pleased that you earned that trip to Harrogate and promotion to the Championship Section.

    Well done everyone.

I'm not going to talk about what happened when our band was playing since there's nothing that can be done about it now. Needless to say we are disappointed to be relegated to 2nd Section.

    These things happen... :?

I think it was closer to paint-stripper or was that what I was drinking.

A great day had by all yesterday but I think it was a mistake to have a job interview this morning.

Nope it was pints of heavy all the way with a few nips of Glenmorangie and whatever Grant filled the trophy up with for good measure.

We repeated the same process when we got back to The Dean. I couldn't have even said the word 'Cinzano' by that stage let alone drunk one. Yuck.

Just noticed your Avatar Stevie - I'll have to get a new one (especially as I nicked my current one from the band website)

Other awards picked up yesterday as well as the 1st section where

Drunkest Male Player - Neil Philip (no concrete evidence but I just know it will be him)

Drunkest Female Player - Gillian Spence

Lightweight Drinker of the day - Me (even the 14 yr old drummer drank more)

Fasting Tounging Action - Kevin Smith (Dirty wee man)

Fastest leg work - David Spence (as he ran off the bus to be sick)

Posted Missing Award - James Cunningham, esteemed Band Manager who was left behind in Motherwell.
