    Our first concert of 2008 will be held at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield.The concert starts at 730pm and the doors open at 7pm

    The National Coal Mining Museum for England is located at Caphouse Colliery, on the western edge of the Yorkshire coalfield, where mining has been carried out for centuries. Visit the National Coal Mining Museum website.

    The programme for the evening is:

    First Suite in Eb (Holst)
    Suite of English Folk Dances (Tomlinson)
    Bacchus on Blue Ridge (Horovitz)
    Gallimaufry (Woolfenden)
    Country Gardens (Grainger)
    Japanese Slumber Song (Wood)
    Paris Sketches (Ellerby)
    Tickets £10 available now from the National Coal Mining Museum box office on 01924 848806, from the museum reception .

    This will be arase opportunity to hear this excellent Brass and Wind Ensemble in thw Wakefield Area this year.
