Saltash Town Band and friends, under the baton of Mr Robert Julian, celebrated their 30th Birthday in an exciting concert at Community School on Friday, 29th July. The audience was kept entertained by the Town Band, Youth and Training Bands, with special guest Mr John Honywill, on Piano. Mr David Dobson, as a special guest and former Musical Director, conducted "Celtic Song", written by his well known and very talented son, Simon Dobson.

One of the highlights of the evening was when Andrew Knight played "Bass in the Ballroom" and dressed up for the part - Ball Gown, Pearls, High Heels and Wig - what a trouper! Ernie Reynolds, Compere for the evening, also had everyone in stitches.

Many friends and guests continued the celebrations the following evening at The Cecil Arms, Saltash, with a Barbecue (and yet another Raffle). Everyone was very merry and helped raise some much needed pennies towards the Band's New Uniform Appeal.
