Salford University Brass Band

    On Wednesday the 23rd of Feb. Salford University Brass band will be giving a lunchtime recital (1pm), at Peel Hall, Salford University.
    This concert will feature both of Salford University Brass Band and the Adelphi Brass Band.
    Adelphi Brass band, which is conducted by third year conducting students will be performing:

    Bachs Toccata and Fugue in D minor

    Virtuosity - Featuring British Open Solo Champion Alex Thomas (fresh back from australia)

    French Military March

    The Salford University Brass Band, under the Batons of conducting fellow Selmer Simonsen and MA student Capt. Peter Curtis will be performing:

    Pagannini Variations ( conducted by Capt. Curtis)

    Variations on an Enigma ( conducted by Selmer Simonsen)

    And the Adelphi Band are also playing SCHERZO, by Meindert Boekel!! (conducted by yours truely)


    Tocatta in D minor is conducted by Shaun Farrington
    Virtuosity is conducted by Eli Hemma
    and French Military March conducted by Phil Pavey....

    Everyone should be there to support Naomi with her conducting and to top it off Fridge has a great solo in Variations on an enigma (well played today mate), not to mention some amazing 2nd cornet playing from myself. ;)

    Aye... I know what he meant Mr Smith... However... Me and Mr Rock were louder than a loud thing thats being louder than usual!!
