I'm not British or American so excuse me if my english is bad.

    My question?

Last weekend I was in London on a trip. As a brassband lover I've had to see the Royal Albert Hall offcourse. Right across the street of the royal albert hall, there is the royal academy of music. We decided to go and take a look there and we where lucky, the brassband of the royal academy was rehearsing at that time. We listened for about an half hour and enjoyed it very much.

Are there any members of that band on tmp?
Who is the conductor (a young man with dreadlocks)?
    Is it a competing band?

It is the Royal College of Music that is opposite the Royal Albert Hall. The Academy is in a different part of London.

The band is more commonly known as Zone One (unless they've changed names recently) and I believe the conductor is Simon Dobson.

Young man with Dreadlocks... I'd imagine you're right there. Would have to be Simon Dobson.
