I'm guessing you're gonna need to provide more information mate! Instrument, make, model etc.

PS. What have you done with the original one? ;)
  2. its a LAFLEUR numbered 737256 cornet but i'm thinking of buying it, i've asked the person about the missing part now, sounds a bit iffy, but just wondered if you can get replacements and if any body does them,

Sorry that must be a typo, did you really say you're thinking of buying a 2nd hand Lafleur?

I have a complete Lafleur cornet which I could easily sell you - although I will be honest, you will find better instruments out there - Ebay often throws up student Yamahas at very reasonable prices.
If you really are desperate for a Lafleur - contact me, but I would honestly advise against these instruments.

I started on this cornet, I didn't know any better and it served me quite well for a couple of years - then I upgraded and haven't looked back.

so would you advise againt a laflear cornet if it was for a small band (marching band) for a 12 or 14 year old lad?
