It is with some sadness that I inform TMP members of the Promotion to Glory of Ron Knuckey of Cardiff Canton Band. Ron had a progressive illness to which he finally succumbed this morning (4th June) in the presence of his family.

Ron was a larger than life character and Canton Band were privileged to play at Ron's house last Sunday on the occasion of his 69th birthday.

He will be greatly missed by so many persons that his life touched over the years.

I heard the sad news of Ron's PtG on Sunday.

I was privileged to play BBb bass with him for a year at Canton in the early 1990s. He was a decent player, and a wonderful man. He will leave a huge hole at the Corps due to his engaging personality.

Well done good and faithful servant.

Love to Gloria, Stuart, Bev and the grandchildren.
