RIP Gary Horsley

    Gresley Colliery Band is deeply saddened to announce the death of band member and friend, Gary Horsley, who passed away peacefully on Sunday 5th May aged 47 following a short illness. Gary was a committed bandsman and a devout member of Gresley Colliery Band for over 15 years. He was also a founder member of Liquidbrass and a key part of its early success. He will be fondly remembered for his sharp wit as well as his considerable musical ability and unshakable commitment.

    Gary's funeral is to take place at Bretby Crematorium, DE15 0QE on Tuesday 21st May at 15:45hrs.

    The crematorium was packed with mourners at yesterday's celebration Gary's life.
    He will be missed by many.
    Past and present members of Gresley band gave a 'Guard of Honour', as Gary entered the Crematorium. A fitting tribute to a fine player.
