I recieved this email last night. If anyone taking part in the Durham Association Picnc in the Park contest would like to ride a harley here's your chance

    Good evening,

I'm writing to you from a Newcastle-based PR company called Strictly Press.

I'm looking for a musician to play a part in a media opportunity this
    coming Sunday in Durham (12noon).

It's to promote this year's BRASS 2010: Durham International Festival.

Strictly Press has booked 5 Harley Davidson motorcyles and the idea is
that 5 musicians will drive through Durham City as passengers finishing at
the DLI Art Gallery and Museum / County Hall.

I want to feature musicians who will be taking part in the Durham County
Brass Band Association competition towards the end of Festival.

It would be great to get 5 musicians from 5 different bands.

If you can think of someone who fits the bill then please drop me a return
    email or call 07899910823.

I will need to know asap.

I will also need confirmation that the band member has public liability
insurrance to the tune of £5m.

I look forward to your reply.

    Best wishes.

    Garry Smith

    a bit more info.

The plan is to meet at the DLI, leaving instruments there. You will then be picked up and taken to the Gala Theatre where you get on the Harleys. After riding through Durham you finish at the DLI and pick your instruments up for a photo shoot.

Our Insurance company has confirmed that as long as the players are representing our band then the band's public liability insurance covers them. Of course you would need to check the situation with your own band's insurance company
