Well Done to langley
Thank you from Langley Band to everyone who came up to us at the results.
This is a very emotional day for the band.
We would like to dedicate the result to Steve Frecklton, bass trombone with Langley Band. Shortly after the perfromance in Burton Town Hall, Steve very sadly collapsed in the pub and unfortunately paramedics were unable to save him.
Thoughts of all of us at themouthpiece.com are with Langley band right now.
On behalf of all the team..
Our sincere condolences to the Langley Band. A fantastic performance and well deserved result.
I couldn't begin to think what emotions you must be feeling this evening.
Our thoughts are with you and Steve's family.

Thats a fantastic result for Langley who were only promoted two months ago. Very sad to hear of the loss. Thinking of all who I know at Langley and the family of Steve.
Congratulations to Langley on a well deserved win.
Can't imagine how you're feeling. As said on the other thread, the thoughts of the Shirley Band are with you all.
Congratulations from all at Raunds band, one place behind us in the 2nd section last year and a win in the 1st section this year, simply outstanding. Our sincere condolancies for your loss, we cant begin to imagine the emotions you must all be going through.
Also a big congrats to everyone at Unity Band who, after a couple of shocking years of player shortages finally came good and saved their place in the 1st section. Hard work payed off after all!
My deepest condolences to all in Langley and especially to Steve's family, my thoughts are with you all. Steve was a wonderful man who gave everything for his band, and who helped me immensely in my early days of banding when I first joined the Langley Band. A sad loss.
On a brighter note many congratulations to all in the band, it's about time you guys had a bit of good fortune! Although I'm sure it was mostly down to your tireless hard work and Cliff's great guidance.
Best wishes to you all, maybe if I'm free I may see you in Harrogate!
All the best.
