Reeth Brass Band is the most sociable/ friendly non contesting band in the country!
We are made up of a cross section of people from ex military musicians and former top section players thru to youngsters from our learner band. This is our old web site (new one under construction): Reeth Brass Band    <br />- Patron The Marquess of Zetland

We are looking for a new PRINCIPLE or FRONT ROW CORNET player for our enthusiastic and friendly band. Unfortunately we are having to say good bye to our former principle after more than 20 years sterling service as he is giving up playing to take up the baton of a 1st section band in the north east..... Good luck Mike it's been an honour sir!

The band has a varied program throughout the year, from charity to music festival concerts and community events to Sunday afternoon parks/ village green background music. All this is largely based around the picturesque village of Reeth, Swaledale, one of the most northern of the Yorkshire Dales.

We practice on Tuesday night from 19.45 to 21.45 in Reeth Memorial Hall before walking 20m to one of our local pubs for some Après Banding in a great atmosphere with free chips and sandwiches...... Unfortunately you have to buy your choice of beverage........but if you decide to come along Paul may get the first round!

Reeth band is a large band with many contacts in the wider banding world and always welcomes players in all sections. We have regular players who travel from as far North as Egglestone in Co Durham, as far South as Ripon in North Yorkshire and as Far East as Middlesborough.

If your interested in the position of Principle or front row Cornet or you may just want to come for a blow or to bolster our other sections please contact:
Our Band Master Paul on 07709 247 810
Contact us thru our web site
Or contact me, Dave, thru this forum.

    Many Thanks

We also need a percussionist too otherwise I'll have to transfer from euphonium to the drum kit. Please contact us through our new website:
