    Radio 2 Finalists have been announced now on 4BR :)

    "The semi-finalists are:

    Ryan Gray (Aged 16) from Belfast – Euphonium (CWA Brass and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain)

    Robbie Harvey (aged 17) from Jersey – Trombone (Jersey Premier Brass / Jersey Symphony Orchestra)

    Richard Kidd (aged 18) from Aberdeen – Euphonium (Bon Accord Silver Band)

    Caroline Munro (aged 20) from Livingston, West Lothian – Cornet/ Trumpet (Scottish
    Co-op Band / West Lothian Schools Brass Band)

    Vicky Reynolds (aged 14) from Nuneaton, Warwickshire – Tenor Horn (Hathern Band / National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain)

    Sophie Rhodes (aged 19) from Harrogate, North Yorkshire – Euphonium (Rothwell Temperance Band)

    Nick Walkley (aged 19) from Manchester – Cornet (Fairey FP Music Band)

    Brendan Wheeler (aged 20) from Australia, studying at Salford University – Euphonium
    (Hepworth Band / Salford University Band)

    Judging the final rounds of the competition are the principal trombonist of the Halle Orchestra, Andrew Berryman, and principal horn player with the Yorkshire Building Society Band, Sheona White.
    The competition will be broadcast on Radio 2 on February 18th and 25th, with the grand final on March 4th."

    You can tell Brenden comes from a slightly hotter climate than Huddersfield. Ask him what he was wearing under his uniform in a packed, hot and sweaty Town Hall tonight!

    That said Brenden was amazed when saw the mist you make from breathing out in the cold!
