Do you need to know the answers aswell? cause if your band can all look on tmp then doesnt that mean they can cheat?

Although a question i had in quiz once was.

What is the name of harry potters owl?

Yeah, I thought about that but most of th band don't look on tMP (we're not generally a technologially minded band!) - the only people who do look are involved in organising the night, not taking part.

Well maybe we could post the questions here, if people want to, and PM Lisa with the answers? Then everyone's a winner!! ;)

You can always have a picture round or play an excert from a testpiece and get them to write the name and composer down...assuming it's brassbanders taking part of course!!

I always thought it'd be fun to have categories for each round and ppt pictures to go with them.

For example, a category could be cities on famour rivers. You could show a picture od Cologne and ask..."What city is this on the Rhine?"

    Here's a weird one:
There are 3 countries in the world which do NOT share any of the letters in the word "mackerel".
    Djibouti, Fiji and Togo.
Oh and one which always fools some people, What is the nearest star to earth? - The sun of course...

    Here's one for you

    Football
    Q) Against which team did Celtic legend Henrik Larsson score his last goal at Celtic Park.

    A) Celtic. He scored in a 3-1 Champions League victory for Barcelona the year after he was transferred.

    Q) 6 teams have won the European Champions Cup whose town or city name does not appear in the official name of the club. Name them.

    A) Celtic, Ajax, Juventus, Benfica, Aston Villa and Feyenoord

I'm just doing the questions and scorecards at this very moment so this is all very helpful! :)

I know nothing about sports so could really do with some sports questions, thanks! Umm...what is the answer?

And what is the answer to this, as I can't work it out:rolleyes:

Cool! Well I have my category headings for the 10 rounds now (with 10 questions in each):
    1. Film & TV
    2. Sports
    3. Name that Tune
    4. History & Geography
    5. Science & Technology
    6. Picture Round
    7. Literature
    8. Music (I nearly forgot this round!)
    9. In the News
    10. Random
I have some questions in some of the categories but still need more! So if anyone has any more questions - or any more exciting category headings - then please let me know! :p
