My cousin Hilary is currently training to sail across the English Channel singlehandedly. This is amazing as she is a quadriplegic and only started sailing in 2003.

She is a very strong willed woman and has been an inspiration within our family due to her determination to lead a full life despite her condition.

It is even harder knowing she is a fantastic musician (all be it a clarinet player and singer) and is no longer able to participate in these activities as she would wish.

If you are interested in reading more about her Channel Challenge or would like to support her in her efforts to raise money to enable other disabled people to enjoy the freedom of sailing, please visit her website.

She is one gutsy lady! What a fantastic thing to do.

Just to mention though, the link to the sponsorship form on the website doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks for pointing this out, I have contacted Hilary about this missing link.

You can still donate by using the link in the top left corner of the home page "Make a donation" as this link does work.

    Thanks again for your support
