I've found that one way to scare off all young players joining a brass band, is by having protests against other bands!!!!!!!!! Aren't we all suppose to be supportive of each other???
Why aren't there a party at the end of australian national championships involving all bands...???

Is it just in australia or is a world wide problem.....all this protesting nonsense???
What is ur opinion of it???

From what I saw in Glasgow, the caelidh (sp?) at the end of the European championships seemed to be a great success, but I suppose it is different when bands are all dispersing to get home etc. From what I've seen, the Norwegians, Swiss, Dutch etc seem to have a much more social approach to the competitive side of their music-making.
