http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/tayside_and_central/6929615.stm Apparently the Dandy comic is becoming a fortnightly publication, because its readers are "too busy" to find time to read a whole comic a week. It used to take me about 30 minutes at the most to read it, and it was time I looked forward to every week (although I have to admit I preferred the Beano!). What a damning indictment on today's society. Worse than that, it is becoming a "lifestyle magazine" featuring all the latest "must-haves, must-sees and must-dos". So it seems that even Desperate Dan is now promoting the consumer society. How sad.
