Willson Euphonium artist Charley Brighton teams up with Susan Vel on Baritone this weekend (8th.) at St. Mary's Slough, to premiere 3 new works for Baritone & Euphonium duet with piano, Simplicity by UK composer Terry Treherne & Endearing Young Charms, arranged by Joe Miserendino from the USA. The other new work is an unaccompanied duet 'Just We Two' also by Joe, commissioned by Major Mark B. Hill of the USAF, Yorktown, Virginia, as part of Charley's 40th. year celebrations. The Major was a Euphonium pupil of Charley's whilst based in the UK at RAF Daws Hill in High Wycombe. He also commissioned Terry's 'Simplicity' originally as a duet for his son Kevin (cornet) and himself. The final duet is the Caccini Ave Maria with Malcolm Stowell at the organ.
