OK heres a slightly different one

I recently acquired a Post Horn (Copper & Brass) from Ebay, primarily for decorative use, however the band thought it would be fun to play Post Horn Gallop, which features post Horn in A. However the one I have seems to be tuned to C!

Having looked around a bit I have only found one Post Horn for sale, a Besson A which retails at around the £225+ mark!

Does anyone know (or want to sell :D ) of any "tuned" post horns going cheaper?

This is where a measuring tape and a hack-saw come in handy..

you could always try one of the Army bands, since the alot of the bands have folded or been amalgamated, there are instruments going spare (so i was told about 5 years ago).

There's bound to be a local army or Ta band in your local area.
