    Who's going to sunny Porthcawl this weekend for the Miners contest?

    Any thoughts and predictions?

    We...Ammanford are going...can't see us taking any prizes though...we haven't had a full band rehearsal as yet!! Never mind it's the "taking part" that counts isn't it? !"%&*&*^!!!!!

    We'll be there (Abergavenny). I know Treherbert are going and I'm fairly sure Markham are there too this year.

    Cwmaman are going, hoping to retain the title!!

    I believe BTM, Parc & Dare, Tongwynlais and Tredegar are there too

    Prediction for porthcawl

    Here we go again. An entertainment contest with an old judge sat in a box listening to most bands yeovil programs, with the numbers made up with1st section bands! :clap:
    Heres my top six


    Hope this is'nt the result but in recent years the results at this contest have been a complete joke!!:mad:

    Thanks very much James. Everyone seems really positive and we are moving in the right direction.

    Was great to see you playing with us again on the recordng, everyone was really pleased to see you. Will be in touch about some other gigs that are coming up.

    I write on behalf of my Brother who posed the question, if this was an entertainment contest how come the Band that won the Best entertainment Programme didn't win.

    I explained that technically the winning band were better.

    As i dug myself in a bigger more confusing hole, i then went on to explain how several bands, presented a visual display for the audience. He then asked how was this judged if the adjudicator was in a tent??

    H E L P !!!!!

    Please can someone who knows what they are talking about help me out?

    I'm not questioning the results, I thought they were spot on.
