Just seen the above ad on the telly and wondered who the soloist is and who is accompanying? If anyone can give me the answer, I'd be very grateful coz it's driving me up the wall!!
(Did have a brief moment thinking it could be Fodens and it was Richard Poole playing for his own pie ad!! Hehe!)

Yet again, a brass band is lumped in with t'north, Victorian England and flat caps!

Its a pie advert. For a Northern company. They were hardly gonna use a string quartet. But yes, i get your point....;)

When I play, I regularly have a meat pie stuck in my cornet. At least that's the best explanation for the noise that comes out

Me, I got no opinion on which band from where is playing for what product or when.....

apart from that, blooming lovely sound, I would also say Phil McCann

(now where did I put them meat and potato pies I got from Morrisons)

I don't think it's Phil McCann ... the vib. is slower than his.

Well after doing some research (ahead of coursework of course;)) it appears that Poole's Pies are made in Wigan - not just Wigan - but Pemberton. Maybe it's Pemberton?

.......................and Pooles Pies is owned by Mr Dave Whelan, who also appears to sponsor Pemberton Old DW Band:)

Well I never! You learn something every day! In fact you could knock me over with a pie!! Ta Jonny and Dave - perhaps they'll be changing their name to Piemberton? (I'll get me coat!) Perhaps a little word with the Jock Open organisers may see an unfortunate typo in next week's programme, when they could play Pieganini Variations! (I'll get me other coat as well!)

Don't you think a video of a Piemberton playing the Pies of Rome would have been more appropriate? There's no Pie innuendo's i can get out of Credo (Lorne Barry) :(
