I must say I was surprised at some of the results at pontins, saying that I was apsolutley over the moon when i found out the result of the 4th section and that we had won. It was an amazing effort put in by all players and we deserved the victory. Well done to Besses Boys you played the piece very well.

Can't complain at 7th though thought we might have got 6th, but quite pleased. Only heard the bands who came 16th and 17th. Thought there was more than 1 place between them, but can't really tell without hearing the other bands.

Cheers Daniel, the band (Five Rivers) played ok but the last movement was really poor so can't really complain although I was personally dissapointed to be as low as we were. Anyway there is always next time :D

well done to all the winning bands and an especially big well done to Dronfield. 7th was a good result- I thought you might have made top 6 but there is not much you can do about it when most of the negative comments were about missing percussion and you only had 1 percussionist! Well done to all bands taking part especially in sections 2, 3 and 4 where I thought the standard was really impressive.

quite right, i thought the negatives were a bit unfair to be honest - how many 4th section bands have two+ percussionists

    but anyway thats life.

well done to the top 4

Thanks Kari. We were over the moon with the result, particularly as it was our first time at Pontins. We'll definitely be going again!!

I totally agree- Wellington has come on leaps and bounds- they are a very strong band and work really well as a team in and outside of the bandroom!
Its the mix of young and old- with a strong ambition that they will achieve!

Go wellington! -we know you can do it- good luck at the area! I will be looking forward to seeing the results!!

    love always,
