Hi I am off on holiday the week before an important gig and I was wondering whether to pick up a pocket cornet to practise on while I am away. I normall play sop. Is this a good idea (I thought i would use my sop mouthpiece and a practise mute for playing on the plane:D). What does anyone think?

I know where I would shove it if I was on the plane !

I normally just take my mouthpieces on holiday and blow tunes on them. You can keep your lip in then at no extra expense.

Have spoken to Roger Webster on the subject though and he takes his cornet with him wherever he goes!!

Unfortunately I am flying ryanair and hand baggage only. I don't think my sop case would fit.
