I recently met a fellow who used a plastic mouthpiece with his BBb Bass. He said that it was comfortable, had a nice sound and gave him more security in the lower range. My music teacher recently bought one, and he says it gives a more "brassy" sound. I've only ever played with one for about 10 minutes and thought it was pretty average, but probably because I was just used to my Perantucci.

What are you thoughts on these revolutionary brass band accessories?

I think they may melt when played in the heat of the Aussie day :D

I also think a friendly mod will probably divert this thread to a recent well debated thread on the same subject!
