    After the huge success of last year’s revival, Pershore Midsummer Brass 2011 is set to be even bigger and better than ever! Even more bands are booked to play and many more have expressed a desire to come and join us at what has become not only a highlight of the Brass Band world, but an integral part of Pershore’s summer activities! And this year, the festival has developed an international flavour with the much anticipated appearance of the Bad Neustadt Band from Pershore’s Twin Town in Germany!! So if you’ve never been to Pershore… now’s your chance!!</SPAN>
    Altogether we are expecting over thirty bands so we can promise you plenty of variety at this unique non-competitive event! Apart from the five Championship bands listed below, all sections are represented and there are youth bands and small ensembles too …over seven hundred bandsmen will turn out on the day! From the moment of the opening fanfare, played on the rooftop of the Abbey, to the final chord some twelve hours later, we can guarantee you a full day of fabulous music making here in Pershore!! To summarise, there are:

    FOUR Major Venues:


    Pershore Abbey, The Baptist Church, The Angel Inn and Chapman Court


    FIVE Championship Section Bands:


    City of Coventry, The Flowers Band, Jaguar Land Rover Band, Sovereign Brass Band and The Staffordshire Band


    And
    All the way From Germany special guests:


    The Bad Neustadt Band



    Plus many local favourites:


    Arrow Valley, Avonbank, Bretforton, Malvern, Shipston, Stourport,


    West Mercia, Worcester Concert Brass etc.
