R.I.P. JOHN BOULTER ( Unity Brass - Now Oddfellows Brass)
It is with sadness that we pass on the message that Oddfellows Brass’ conductor ROB BOULTER’s father passed away recently after a short and sudden illness.

Many will remember him as a distinctive and staunch supporter at concerts: some will even remember from the RAF. His work for banding was outstanding, and his wearing of the boiler suit legendary!

The family would like to invite players for a Service of Celebration of John’s Life at St Peter’s Church, Whetstone on FRIDAY MAY 3[SUP]RD[/SUP] at 1.30 (band gather) for a 2pm start and for refreshments and the sharing of memories after the service.

If you would like to honour John’s memory by playing in the band (as many people as would like to play are welcome), or generally attending the service, please contact Fran Skinner (Band Manager) as soon as possible at or on the band’s NEW number 07706 230157.

We welcome your spreading of this information to those for which we may not have the contact details.

    Kind Regards,
    Band Manager (Fran Skinner)

Rob Boulter has asked me to pass on his thanks to those who played at the Celebration of Life for John Boulter on May 3rd 2013. It was a great turn out, and good playing: and there is an especial 'Thank You' to Gary Sleath for conducting.

We know how difficult it must have been for people to have time off work or college, especially as it was a Bank Holiday weekend and everyone's efforts were very much appreciated.

It was also nice to see so many at the pub for refreshments, and your kind words and support during this difficult time are, again, very much appreciated.

Sent on behalf of Rob, his family, and the band

    pp Fran Skinner
    Oddfellows Brass, Band Manager
