I wish, however Boarshurst are in the 4th Section next year.
    Strange but true.

    Boarshurst Relegated?

Anyone able to confirm proms/rels? NWBBA site has grading tables but no news on up/downs

I think it's fairly safe to assume that Frontman is correct as he conducts Boarshurst.

I was aware of that, just expressing my  suprise

They were bottom 2 on grading table so I can only assume...

I can only assume as i STILL haven't had anyone come to me with definate proms/rels (perhaps I should have left well alone)

By my reckoning, Boarshurst and City of Chester ended up joint second to last with 41 points, Dobcross Youth with 53 points, so all three will be relegated. Can anyone confirm then, if three will be promoted from the 4th Section?

Excellent work by the way Paddy. I can see there has been a fair bit of work gone into all this. Nice one mate!

I was not aware that ALL those bands were still in the Fourth section.

Some didn't compete this year but as far as I know are still about.

Rode Hall didn't compete this year or last year but did in 2006 and 2007. (One of the oldest brass bands in Britain btw)

Brindle did not compete this year, but did for 6 years prior to that.

    Tottington Public ditto

Barnton withdrew this year but have competed for years and were third section as recent as 2003

Farndon and District withdrew this year but over the years have made appearamnces

St Johns Mossely Were 4th in 2008 but have mainly not competed over recent years.

To my knowledge, only two bands are promoted from the 4th section this year - Eccles and Cheshire Constabulary.

I'll have a fiver e/w on Cheshire Constabulary in the 3rd, watch out for 'em, C&S to win the 4th, and Blackley in the upper prizes - looks like the value bet to me ;)

Which puts Coppull and Standish well at the top of the 4th Section rankings.

    Good luck!

(Blackley 12th this year and 21st the year before. Do you know something we don''t?)

Well that's a 9 place improvement for a start - if they do the same this year they'll be 3rd!

Plus they rediscovered winning ways earlier in the year, and although they didn't do well at Fleetwood, that was in a higher section and they tackled one heck of a tough piece.

Secret of good betting? Know your form ;)

Excellent. I now have all the details I require.
It is good to know who are in the sections with you.
