I know a group of people wishing to re-establish themselves as top-dogs next March...

    Line-ups checked against...
    http://www.noebbc.org.uk/page3.html
with 4th section being a best guess based on previous years' entries...

I believe North Skelton and Skipton bands are looking to enter the area next year, in the 4th section.

My early money is going on Catterick in the 1st. 15/2 in such a small field is generous.

EYMS 7/1 EW is tempting too.

Without a shadow of a doubt Paddy, I want to get my hands back on that Best Bass Section Trophy as well!

Agreed, Fishburn could also be quite tasty at 11/1

    I'll ask Gareth if that's ok. ;)

Tell Gareth & my bro Gibbo that as per last years agreement I'll let them drink from it if we win it as long as they honour the same deal ;)

Only one band to qualify from 1st and 2nd section this year....that's a NoE band not winning the Nationals then!

4th section looks like its going to be a competitive one this year, looking forward to it.

Sorry I thought less than 8 bands meant only one qualifier.

I think a re-shuffle is due, I'm not sure how we can possibly continue in this fashion with 10 Championship section bands and only 5 in both the 1st and 2nd sections. Surely the top section should be restricted to a maximum of 6 bands when the numbers entering are so low

.................and what 6 bands should that be Dan?

this could start another rant about whether EYMS (Hull) & Barton Town (Lincoln) are in the NE

Well that would be decided based upon gradings, but I'm not saying it should be done instantly, you could do it gradually by putting 1 up and 2 down and whittle it down like that.

Don't you think we have a small enough area as it is without excluding bands? I'm certainly not going down that route

Firstly, no reason a NoE band shouldn't win the Nationals - see South Milford@ 150-1 in 2012. We eenjoyed that. The sections are ridiculous but hey ho, who knows what is happening as there are no longer ANY ranking tables I can find. Good to see 4,3 and champ looking decent for numbers though. There should be 6 in 2nd and only 4 in 1st but for us winning!
