Virtual £50 ew on Market Rasen @33/1 please. I took your 100/1 last year about my old band Dronfield

You took Dronfield @ 100/1 to win so unless St Breward have since been secretly disqualified, you owe me a tenner.

In all seriousness thou, any reason for your £50 worth of confidence in Market Rasen? (no disrespect to them)

I'll have another tenner on an accumulator please Paddy ( trebles if you would )
Fodens, Friary Guildford , Becontree and Fulham.

In a separate bet , and in a spirit of London - based solidarity I'll have another tenner on East London and Regent in their respective sections :)

    Virtual Financial Investment Fund!

Right, here's the spinny - I reckon I have the bare bones of a plan to make a virtual million. Put me down for 2000 nuggets on the fine chaps and chappesses of NASUWT Riverside. 2000 little ones at 500-1 makes me One Million exactly. Now all I have to do is hatch a plan to nobble all of the other contenders attending the big cake tin in the city.

Assuming the odds are correct, it would take a musical miracle not yet known to man for Riverside to beat the likes of Frodens, White Ditch and those chappies from Carey so here's my plan.............

The only way to grab the title and my millions is to stop all the other bands from getting there. I envisage getting support from the NASUWT union to call a strike on the weekend of 8th October. A simultaneous protest crawl to London (as opposed to a march) will then take on every major motorway link to London with the pace of crawl set to delay the arrival of every other competing band until late Saturday evening. I reckon I can cover most of the northern motorways but need some help for those around the M4, M3,M40 and especially the roads in London. Just a tad worried that Blacktunnel, Savely & Oldpork could sneak in around the back roads - happy to share the virtual winnings if anyone has any ideas - what do you think? ;)

You are on Pags ! I'll bring London Region Unison out in solidarity with the NASUWT which should nicely paralyse local government for the day !!

Excellent, lets up the stake to 4000 and we'll share the winnings. My formerative years were spent playing for Soham Comrades and I reckon I can call in a few favours from the farmers union as well - That's got the M11 covered now - millionaires by christmas!!!

Right on Brother !! A Million notes and socialist utopia in one easy step !!!. There is a historical precedent - the Contest Secretary of Vladivostok Tractor Factory Number 17 Welfare Silver Band ( one VI Lenin ) utilised a similar tactic for the Petrograd Own-Choice + Hymn Tune Contest of November 1917. Worked out quite well I believe !

    Hmm..

I love the creative thinking behind your plan and much as i'd hate to burst your bubble, but, in such an eventuality 'Rule 4' would (of course) apply

Back to the drawing board gents

(thanks for the virtual £4,000 by the way chaps, should cover the maintenance payments for a few months) :tup
