$hytalk appears to have laid down a challenge...

    http://www.themouthpiece.com/vb/showthread.php?p=763947#post763947

Sir, I accept (Paddy dons his fencing gear and starts practising his thrust and parry)

OK, if $hytalk is so confident he would skin me alive I propose he places his virtual bets ON THIS THREAD. The challenge is for ALL contests between now and the end of the year, US Open, Scottish Open, BICC and other contests I put odds out on.

We don't need to use real money to settle this challenge, this is just for pride. Paddy will not be changing his usual mark-up on his prices (that would be cheating).

SO come on $hytalk, I slap your face with my gauntlet and lay it on the ground in front of you. Are you going to pick it up??

If I win he has to change his login name to '$h1tetalk'. Let him name my forfeit here if he accepts

Paddy generously gives $hytalk £(virtual)100.00 stake money, once it's gone - it's gone

and all $hytalk has to do to win is build up a £100.00 credit (let's see if he can do that in a single afternoon's contesting!!)

O.k. - no problem. If I win ,then you must reveal your true identity! By the way it's not your picking of bands that's no good, it's your book!!!!

Another one obsessed with my identity. I dunno people, what do you think?
(apart from Simon_Horn, I know he wants me outed!!)

What do you mean about my picking of bands being good but NOT the book?
I'll happily admit that my mark-up is around 25% which is pretty standard among turf accountants

It would take the spirit out of things if I was to give my secret identity away!
    Oh blow.....

Maybe an idea of area (live or play up to you) or instrumentation may be a more worthwhile bet. I think if people know it will spoil the fun :)

So will Paddy be beaten and end up as the Garry Wiltshire of the banding book

    or

Will Paddy reign supreme, and come back with glorious special offers, like, if your band is disqualified, or one of your players falls (off their chair) all bets on that selection will be refunded.

    Option 1 Option 2
    Evens 8/11

I trust that my 108% * book on a 50/50 is acceptable, however I am prepared to shorten one of the odds ;)

    * Actually 107.894% but who's going to quibble over 0.106%

O.K Paddywack, seeing as you're obsessed with remaining anonymous - no forfeit for you - your secret is safe. I'm just watching the last betting movements at the U.S. Open before I lump on.

£12 on Pemberton Old to win Scots Open @ 6/1 (I bought them in from 15/2 on post #18 )
