Hi Pete, look on the thread for last year's contest, there are some posts from bands that won prizes but not the full results.
Yorkshire Imps won best march at both venues.
Hebden got 2nd and City of Bradford got a 2nd
Skelmanthorpe got 2 3rds
Hebden Bridge won at Red Lion
Yorkshire Imps at Silkstone Lodge
Hebden Bridge won best deportment
Yorshire Imps won best euph at Red Lion
Yorkshire Imps won best basses at both venues.
Highest placed 2nd Section won by Barnsley Building Society
Highest placed 3rd Section won by Skelmanthorpe B Band
Highest placed 4th section Boarshurst
Best Youth / non contesting band Shireland Welfare Training Band

Hmmm....looking at this and the results from Kiveton I think we at Dronfield should stick to playing inside!!!!
But as this was a borrowed payer is it fair to accept the prize?
but there was no restriction on borrowed players for any band. No registration of players required either.
Unfotunately our top man had a chance to dep for Dyke, surely not one to miss. Our previous top Man Tom kindly agrred to stand in at short notice:clap:, and in any event wasn't first and championship section a combined prize? I believe more than our band had deps on top cornet. Heard Skelly and their top cornet played well
And was borrowed so woudnt have accepted the prize!
As long as the player borrowed is registered with a band of the same section, I can't see a problem, if it's a higher section, that's a different matter. As there's no formal registration, it relies on the goodwill the bands competing. This is only my opinion but it seems only fair to all concerned.
