Old Hall Brass Orrell/Wigan Requires Trombones and horn

:D After a reasonably good result at Fleetwood 5th out of 12 in the second section Old Hall Brass now requires a full trombone section due to work commitments, retirement and the all usual players moving up to the championship section  therefore we are currently looking out for trombone players and a horn player to come and join this sociable :guiness mix age range and progressive band. :hammer The band is nationally a first section band but is graded in the second section for the NWCBBA. Under it's resident conductor Andrew Jones the band are looking to strengthen it's current position. We have a good concert schedule along with a master class with Ian Porthouse EX principal cornet with the Fairy Band and now successful conductor with Pennine Brass.

The band rehearse twice a week Monday and Thursday from 20.00 to 22.00 (8pm to 10pm) in between Orrell and Billinge and are close to the motorways, we are only five or so mins from junction 26 of the M6 and the end of the M58 to Liverpool and only 10 or so mins from the A580 (East Lancs road).

We have players come from all over the area as far as Leyland near Preston and East Manchester. So if you’re bored and fancy a change of band or would like to take a step down from Championship level or thinking of coming out of retirement! or just fancy a blow. Either contact myself or our band organiser John Sudworth via here or pm, phone.
