Does anyone know if i can still buy a recording that Faireys did in the late 80's?
I think it was 88 ish. I used to own the album on cassette but i cant find it on CD (or tape).
I cant remember the title, but two of the tracks were: Toccata in D minor and the theme tune to the film ET (fantastic arrangement).

Likewise, I used to own this on tape but have misplaced it over the years. I think it also had Alan Wycherley playing 'the lark in the clear air' and Brian Taylor playing 'the watermill'

Try Mark Peacock. His dad (Ray) played in the band at the time as did his uncle (Brian Taylor). I seem to remember that Mark bought this on CD. Mark's a resident conductor at wingates so you can probably contact him via their website.
