    I'll kick off to respond to this thread here.....

    Bestwood will definately be there!

    Good luck to all participating bands. I understand from a reliable source that Welbeck have already withdrawn from the contest. So the 4th section is now down to only 23 bands!

    Good luck to all bands, especially my old band, Avonbank, with Nick Smith, and Wem - sorry I wont be there this year for you to beat, Roger ;) And all my friends at Sovereign, Jags, Staffs and Thoresby

    Going to listen to midlands contest for first time ever. Normally go to Blackpool to listen to North West but my sister has moved to Midlands so is competing there, so I'm off to support her. Come on Newstead! Looking forward to it!

    Very true we will be as well in our new walking out uniforms.
    Must admit im looking forward to the delightful out side catering van (i dont think so).:eek:
    So its off to the Cottage Pub down the road for some real ale:clap:

    Amington had a good result at the Area's last year however they have not gone up to third section yet. They'll certainly be the band to watch out for!!!

    Thanks for that Postie.They certainly will be the band to look out for.But,there are a few good bands in the 4th section that will be up there with a chance.

    Kibworth will be there, Trying to avoid the dreaded drop back to 1st section......

    Yup (well me excel version anyway) but not posting it, because then you will know where I have to come to stay up ;)

    See my Kibworth mates in the pub, unless the Langley contingent are in a different hostelry.

    Let's look on the bright side - our last year @ Burton Town Hall??????:p

    Aparently there is a new band in the third section according to both the BB and 4barsrest!!!
    someone called WEM jubilee anybody heard of them???
