    Just read a notice about Black Dyke performing at South Bank which included this comment - "Later the same afternoon, Emily Howard, who wrote the critically acclaimed ‘Obsidian’ for Black Dyke a couple of years ago.......". My question is, if Obsidian was so acclaimed, why has so little been heard of it and why have Dyke not recorded it? Also, if anyone has heard it, what are your opinions on the piece?

    It seems that the term 'critically acclaimed' may have been used overzealously. I can only find one review of the work on the internet and this seems to be from the same source as the article describing it as such.
