    Is anyone on here going to the Norwich contest on sunday????

    I shall be there all day Sunday, at side of stage assisting with percussion on and off stage.

    Unfortunately will not be playing. Please come and say hello!

    I'm there with Matthews, so watch out Cambridge and Cawston! We're gonna trounce you all :D :D Although, saying that, I've was plonked on Sop last Sunday, so that could lower our score a bit :shock: :oops: :wink:

    We have 3 key members away working (armed forces) and then our secretary also passed away. It was after the date for registrations so we withdrew.

    Does anybody know the results for the East Anglian contest ? I'd like to know how my old bands faired.

    Sorry, Can't remember the other sections but there were only 2 bands in the championship section, Cambridge and Matthews. Matthews won the test piece and Cambridge won the Hymn tune.

    What happened to all the other bands then such as Great Yarmouth etc.

    Great Yarmouth and Fakenham were due to compete in Championship section did not enter.

    Cawston: see above postings

    Fulbourn & Teversham as Great Yarmouth and Fakenham

    Wrentham won the test piece in class A, Newmarket won the hymn tune in class A.

    All 1st prizes were taken by newly formed Norfolk Wherry Brass in class B

    Class C was taken by one of the Martlesham bands.

    Well done to all the prize winners!
