Just got home after an afternoon catching up with some old faces.
I was in the audience and heard a handfull of bands.
Well done to all bands today.
Good to see so many youngsters especially coming through.
Congrats to all at Northop after an impressive sounding performance of Whitsun Wakes.
Well done Gav & deiniolen also.
A mention must of course go to Wrexham Who might consider themselves a little unlucky to come 3rd, but given the situation they're currently in and the problems they've had the last few months (and esp this last week from speaking to them) it was good to see them supporting the contest with a full and decent sounding band.

Really enjoyed the day today - great result for our Youth Band - huge congrats to the youngsters and to Osian for his hard work with them leading up to the day. Just a shame that last year's winners couldn't be bothered to return the trophy meaning the presentation was a bit muted - such a shame.

Enjoyed our performance of Connotations today aswell, a thoroughly deserved 2nd place according to a lot of people in the audience.

    Da iawn Llanbabs!

Llongyfarchiadau to our neighbours Llanrug, and Paul Hughes, and Menai Bridge and Chris as well.

Congratulations to Northop and Deiniolin on their results, only disappointment for Wrexham was we did not get to hear you both play as we were drawn 3rd. Nonetheless I hear you both played extremely well, especially Northop with Whitsun Wakes.

Well done to all that played and congratulations to all winners.

    Great day out

...............well great week-end enjoying the pleasures of Llandudno really!

The talent and enthusiasm of the youth bands was something to behold and bodes well for the future of banding in this area

Congratulations to Northop for an outstanding performance. The march (Shield of Liberty) crackled with energy and drive and their performance of the chosen test piece (Whitsun Wakes) would have stood up in most company. Such individual strength in depth and what a band sound! Highpoint of the day for me. Thanks you.

Also well done to Buckley. Not the result they would have wanted but a performance (Kaleidoscope) with much to admire and some magic moments.

Thanks to everyone who took part for such an entertaining day.
