I see that the Northern Region is the last to announce the adjudicators for the contest again...always confuses me why. Either they aren't booked yet or they are a cynical bunch and think someone is going to nobble the judge.

Other than that though I always liked going to the area at Darlo, will hopefully be up this year for a listen :)

Looks like no one has asked the bands to turn up yet either!

  4. As the closing date is not until the 24th of January, so we can't put a list of bands out yet, also the
adjudicators have been announced, go to http://www.noebbc.co.uk/news.htm.

I'm really enjoying Salute to Youth. The third movement is extremely deceiving, it's is a lot more difficult than it appears. Should be a good day though, and a quality judge as well. I'm really looking forward to it!

I seem to have that effect.... ;)

Are the 1st Section at the crack of dawn this year? If so, is it the weekend the clocks go forward and do we need to buy our bass bonist another alarm clock since he overslept last year???

Clocks go forward on 29th March this year, so that's one thing you needn't worry about ;)

Lunchtime is a bit nicer - better than 0600 start we had in 2nd section last year! The joys of being at the "southern" end of the northern region!
