Many bands have used tMP to offer places to students moving to Universities in their area, but there must be other potential students who are still not yet sure where they will end up in Sepember.

So, if you find yourself looking for a Music Degree place, whether it's because you missed the applications deadline, you're not happy with your choices or for any other reason, please get in touch - PM me in the first instance. York St John College (where I teach) has unexpectedly gained a few additional places on its music courses - to compensate for other subjects which have not recruited so well - and of course we're very brass band friendly!

    Three courses:

BA Performance - Music (A practical music course which includes opportunities to specialise in performing or composing, alongside contemporary music, world music, music in the community, music technology etc)

BA Music with Education (if you want to become a music specialist teacher in a primary school)

Foundation Degree in Music Technology - a two year course starting in January, with a strong vocational emphasis.

York is a great place to study, and finding a band in York/North Yorkshire would not be a problem!
