Im feeling sad today because its the first year I can remember where there was no Pershore Midsummer brass.
Such a shame they stopped running it...

Indeed I remember it well as I always played outside the Courtyard as principal of Brass Futures and then sneaking into the supermarket for drinks. I played there with Halesowen Brass too. It is a big miss for many of the West Midland and Worcester bands

I loved Midsummer brass, it was always a challenge to get invited to do as many of the 50 minutes gigs as possible. I think I managed 6 in one year.....was my lip dead for the the next week...you better believe it!!

Luckily I saved the hard blowing for my own band and my solos!! The Abbey was always the best venue acoustically although the Angel was always a favourite.

I'm glad I never got asked to do the fanfare from the top of the tower to start the proceedings though.
