NLB City of London seeks Basses and Bones

Discussion in 'Recruitment Corner' started by North Londoner, Mar 23, 2015.

  1. NLB City of London Band is looking to recruit basses (both varieties) and trombones (yep, both varieties).

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, right in the heart of the City of London, in the atmospheric surroundings of St Giles' Cripplegate, the Church in The Barbican.

Our Conductor is John Vincent (Salvation Army Hendon, ex-BBC Elstree Band) and we perform all manner of great gigs, from Wembley Stadium to London's New Year's Day Parade, from St John's Smith Square to St Paul's Cathedral, and from The Royal Hospital Chelsea to The Hurlingham Club.

We are a member band of North London Brass Network and our instrumentalists also have the option to play with NLB's Contest Band (L&SC 4th Section). NLB Contest Band rehearsals are held on separate evenings and at other locations in North and Central London.

So, if you fancy playing brass regularly in the Square Mile and performing in exciting locations, you would be very welcome to come and join us. Whilst there is a particular need at present for basses and bones, all instruments are welcome.

Please contact us via our website for more info. Thanks
