The Newark Town Band are celebrating 50 years on Saturday 14th April 2007 at The Palace Theatre Newark.

I was first junior having joined the day after my 11th birthday. Where are all those who came after me and are you still playing or retired. Looking to hear from Alan Dobbs, Kevin Kirkham, the Wood's brother, Lynda Walker, Kathryn and Graham Ford, Ian Graves (now with Hitchin) and many many more who played in those sucessful years in the 70's.

For further information contact Adrian Crampton on 07960 607241. Adrian is current secretary of the band - email

Lets hear from all ex players and make it a day to remember.

  2. I was briefly with Newark town before joining the army in 1979. Played Bass trom (occasionally 1st too), the rest of the section then were Neil and Clive Hancock. I am still playing. Would be fun to catch up with old faces.
