    well, YBS have still not announced a successor to Peter Roberts....

    Certainly a possibility Brian!

    Personally, I can only think of a couple of people good enough to take over from Pete Roberts at YBS and Nigel is one of them, the other has just joined Grimethorpe!

    And so the merry-go-round continues!

    That still leaves the sop vacancy at Sellars if Mr. Fielding is interested.

    If he fancies a change to Bb cornet, then there is a band in Stockport which has just got a vacancy...

    HA! and then you read what Nick W puts on his website about not being able to commit to band, uni, family etc etc etc.... band was the only thing he could drop cos he wasnt enjoying it......

    Aye I suppose you are right there - it's possibly the 'hottest' seat in brass banding!

    and as I was saying to my housemate earlier.... it's a hard seat to "replace"... after a name like Peter Roberts!! will be interesting to see what happens :)

    he will deffinately be up to the job tho, theres no way Kingy would have him if not. good luck to him

    Yeah, definetly! Possibly one of the most difficult chairs to take over! But the previous principle cornet position will stand Nick in good stead!

    About the carrousel of sop players: any news yet about the former Black Dyke sop, Michelle Ibbotson (sp?) ?
