    Hi,

Has anyone a tried a Besson Prestige 2051? Or even the York medium bore model.

I always liked the Besson 968 and have to wonder what the newer models are like. Unfortunately, they're a bit rare as the larger bore is increasingly more popular!

I use a Med bore Yamaha for my orchestral work and can't recommend it high enough.

The only thing I don't like about those instruments is the OTT engraving on the bells. Especially the Euphonium.

Not sure where the notion of "medium bore" comes from, but according to the Besson and York websites, the difference between models in a given family is the bell size, not the bore:

    Prestige
    2051
    2052

    Sovereign
    967
    968

    Eminence
    4051
