The Association Has Had a Makeover!

The Association of Band Traders has decided to start 2009 with a bang! In line with recent research, it has been concluded that the Association would benefit by enhancing its identity with an image overhaul. It has now embraced these recommendations and will be using Butlins 2009 to launch its new look.

“We want the general public to understand more clearly that the Association is not just about tradestands at contests.” says Jon Handley, newly appointed Secretary of the Association. “By updating the logo, refreshing the website and generally updating our overall branding, it will enable the Association to have a more modern presence; a look that is easily identifiable and one that the banding fraternity will hopefully see appearing regularly across the banding press the charities it supports.”

A taste of the new logo can be seen in the attached file, but this will also be accompanied by a website overhaul, new signage at shows, new literature and a comprehensive information centre where customers can obtain up to date information on the members, what the Association can offer them as consumers and updates on the charitable work it has been carrying out. Jon Handley explains “… the new logo is designed to represent the relationship between our members and the general public; to show the unity of the members themselves in the common goals of the Association. Its clean lines provide a modern feel to the look and the strong colours are indicative of the British businesses which make up the Association’s membership."

Roger Handley, Chairman, comments: “The Butlins contest is a perfect event to showcase our new look and we hope that the visitors to what will be our biggest show at this contest so far, will like the updated approach we are taking.
