    Enderby Band Announce New Signings

Enderby Band make a few new signings in preparation for the 2006 season.

Mike Kilmartin makes the move from Kirby Colliery Welfare Band, after being a regular player with the band over the past six months. Mike first popped along to ‘give Sop a go’, and has since become an excellent addition to the band. Mike was awarded the Soloist Prize in the 1st Section at the Leamington Contest, despite still depping for the band at the time.

Secondly, Andy Mayall moves from the Kibworth Band and joins Enderby on Principal Euphonium. Andy is a highly experienced and talented individual and will quickly become a great asset to the band.

Finally, Meg Roberts takes the step from the Enderby Youth Band after many years of service as their Flugel player, and joins the Senior Band as a back-row Cornet player.

With the new faces already settling in well, it’s the band hopes to carries its rich vain of form into the Midlands Area Contest (1st section), where it looks set to become a very strong and competitive field of bands.
