After a tough few years, Skelmersdale Prize Band are looking forward to the North West Area on March 9th.

With many recent signings for the contest, including Bev Stoll on solo trombone, Danny Thompson on solo horn, Simon Quinn on cornet and Andy Booth on euphonium, the band is excited for the future.

Competing in the 3rd section, under the baton of the infamous Gordon Clough, the band is beginning to show the potential that once got them promoted to the Championship section not too many years ago.

After the loss of many players, the band has been in a rebuilding process, and hopes to capitalise on last years first area in 6 years where they came 11th.

The band is now happy and settled and looks forward to much contesting in the future.

Any visitors to the band are more than welcome, and more information about us can be found on our new website:
