    Interesting
At the request of the composer I have been asked to say a few words about this music. I believe that Jacob has real musical talent which is bound to flourish and develop as time goes by. I have met him and find him to be a modest and unassuming young man. At the time he was MD of Silkeborg Band, which I had the pleasure of meeting.

This music has echoes of salvationism and for me reminds me of Bruce Broughton and Stephen Bulla. It has an interesting structure and shows that Jacob is inventive and knows how to develop a theme and variations. This is particularly interesting, as the hymn tune St Dennio does not possess the strongest of themes. It develops well and shows great promise.

My only real criticism would be the length of the slower variation which does not really flow as well as it might. Also, perhaps it is a little long to keep us interested and completely involved. However, this shows great promise.

"Well done Jacob, yet again a beauty from you. I was waiting all the way through for the main tune to arraive and you kept me hanging on by introducing the tune then moving away again, right upto the very end. Excellet stuff, very well done."
