  1. North London Brass is developing a new brass banding Network with local bands in Enfield, Southgate and Edmonton. We're delighted to confirm two new appointments for New Year 2011:

NLB Enfield is now working with Bandmaster John Campbell, a fine brass band cornet and orchestral trumpet player. NLB Enfield rehearses on Wednesday evenings in Chase Side, Enfield EN2. NLB Enfield was established in January 2010 and is building a capable band with plans to deliver an interesting concert programme in 2011 and to contest for the first time.

NLB Southgate has just appointed new Bandmaster Paul Williams. Cornet player, Paul, comes with good experience of playing and coaching with Salvation Army Bands. NLB Southgate rehearses on Friday evenings in Merrivale, London N14. NLB Southgate was established in June 2010 and has a keen and friendly membership of mature learners and intermediate players with plans to deliver their first independent concert programme in 2011.

Both NLB Enfield and NLB Southgate have developing Academy Bands (training bands for students of all ages) lead by horn player Derek Cutts and trombonist Alex Keys, respectively. Professional training and mentoring from experienced brass players is provided at all rehearsals.

NLB Edmonton is scheduled to launch in March 2011. Rehearsals will run on Monday evenings in Bounces Road, London N9.

North London Brass also works with the Boys' Brigade in London to develop brass banding opportunities for boys and girls in the UK's oldest youth organisation.
